Creating Groups

Membership is free and gives you the ability to interact with other dog lovers who use the site. Community members can create their own discussion Groups, send / receive messages with other diningwithdogs.com community members, friend users, see who’s online and more …

Groups are a great way to discuss topics with other community members, get their feedback and recommendations. To create A Group or reply to a Group you need to be a diningwithdogs.com member. To find out more about membership – click here >

To Create A Group

1. Make sure you are logged in and then click on the Groups main menu item. This will bring you to the main Groups directory page.

2. Click on Create A Group at the top of the page.

3. Fill out the Create A Group form – giving the Group a name and a description. Click Create Group and Continue >

4. Next, set the permissions for your Group.

- Enable Discussion Forum – use this option if you wish to allow others to post replies in your Group.
- Public Group – both members and non-members can view this Groups information and posts.
- Private Group – only members that you choose to allow access can view and post to a private Group.
- Hidden Group – only members that you invite can view this Group. Members who are invited can only see these Groups.

5. Next upload an image to use an Avatar for your Group. This is not required and will default to a generic image if nothing is uploaded.

6. From your diningwithdogs.com friends list choose who you would like to invite to join the Group. These members will be emailed an invitation and have a notification visible in their notifications area on diningwithdogs.com that they have been invited to your Group.
